About The Position

Baptist Health is looking to add a Registered Nurse to our Cardiac Surgical PCU Team in the Heart Hospital at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This is a full-time night shift opportunity. Nurses on this unit provide care for patients with post-operative open heart and thoracic lung cases. Sign on bonus of $3,750! As a Registered Nurse you will be Responsible for: Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital Serve as patient advocate Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities

Requirements

Less than 1 year Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
Telemetry Experience
Hospital Experience

Responsibilities

Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses
Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
Serve as patient advocate
Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services.
Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care.
Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care.
Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
