Requirements

Registered Nurse license
Experience in Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Knowledge of exercise prescriptions and risk stratification
Ability to assess physiologic responses to exercise
Proficiency in utilizing the Nursing Process
Ability to collaborate with healthcare team members

Nice To Haves

Experience with telemetry monitoring
Familiarity with St. Joseph's Healthcare System's nursing philosophy

Responsibilities

Directing the care and progress of patients in the Inpatient and Outpatient Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs.
Reviewing medical records of patients, selecting pertinent data to initiate and implement patient specific plan of care.
Collaborating with other health care team members in planning patient's care.
Implementing exercise prescriptions for patients being mindful of their risk stratification.
Assessing physiologic responses to exercise, including vital signs, telemetry rhythm, and subjective patient responses.
Adjusting exercise levels as indicated/appropriate.
Utilizing the Nursing Process in a collaborative manner to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with his/her scope of practice.
Supporting the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing within the St. Joseph’s Healthcare System and on his/her assigned unit.
