About The Position
Baptist South is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse for Fulltime Days in the Cardiac PCU. New Hires eligible for a $2,500 Sign on Bonus. Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Responsibilities include knowledge of all areas of care to Gastroenterology and conscious sedation with ability to perform patient assessments pre/post procedure. This position requires call. Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- 1-2 years Telemetry Experience
- Hospital Experience
- Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Science in Nursing
- 1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
- Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
- Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
- Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
- Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
- Act as the patient advocate
- Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
