The Midtown Cardiac Neuro Unit is one of Deaconess Midtown's newest specialty care units, bringing advanced cardiac, neurological, and stepdown care together in a unique 19-bed environment. Nurses joining this team have the rare opportunity to help shape a growing unit while caring for a diverse patient population that includes stroke, cardiac, sepsis, complex medical-surgical, and ICU stepdown patients. With 8 dedicated stepdown beds, this unit offers exposure to advanced cardiac rhythms, bedside cardioversions, titratable medication drips, NIH Stroke Scale assessments, and higher-acuity patient care. Requirements
- Active Indiana RN license or valid compact RN license
Responsibilities
- Care for a diverse patient population including stroke, cardiac, sepsis, complex medical-surgical, and ICU stepdown patients.
- Manage advanced cardiac rhythms.
- Perform bedside cardioversions.
- Administer titratable medication drips.
