About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking passionate, experienced nurses for its Cardiac Medical Observation (CMO) unit. This newly renovated, 25-private room unit specializes in the care of Cardiac patients pre and post-procedure, focusing on Observation and Medical level patients during their brief stays. Requirements

Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program (exceptions may be made for those with over two years of acute care experience, subject to CNO approval).
Current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA.
Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

Provide the highest quality of care to Observation and Medical level patients.
Specialize in the care of Cardiac patients pre and post procedure.
Develop clinical expertise and critical thinking skills.
Utilize multi-tasking and time management skills.
Act as a patient and family advocate.
Perform Post Cath Lab care.
Manage Cardiac Dynamics.
