This specific position is in IU Methodist's Cardiac Medical Critical Care (CMCC) unit, a 28-bed unit focused on patient care, hiring for a full-time .9 FTE NIGHT shift. The Clinical Nurse reflects the mission, vision, and values of Indiana University Health, adhering to ethical codes and compliance standards. The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable for competent, evidence-based care across the care continuum, including assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes, and enhance operational efficiency. The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.

Requirements

An Associates of Nursing (ASN) is required.
An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license is required.
The RN must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
Basic Life Support certification through the AHA is required.
Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Nice To Haves

Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
