Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac ICU - PT Days
About The Position
This is a part-time Registered Nurse position in a 8-bed cardiac-focused intensive care unit at High Point Medical Center. The unit provides care to critically ill patients with cardiac diagnoses. Nursing staff collaborate with multiple providers and care teams, implementing a multi-disciplinary approach for patients and families. The role involves utilizing the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care, employing evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and strong communication skills to ensure the safest patient environment and best patient experience.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Greater than 1 year of RN experience
Nice To Haves
- Skills and specialty equipment include advanced airway management, continuous renal replacement therapy, wound management, normothermia management, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, titration of continuous infusion medication drips, care of fresh CABG patients, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump management, and Impella management.
