As a Registered Nurse, you are required to obtain your ACLS and Moderate Sedation Certificate within your first month. Additionally, all Registered Nurses without a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) degree must obtain a BSN within three years of their hire date. This is a part-time position (30 hours/week) with day shifts, functioning at 0.75 FTE. The role involves 10-hour shifts, with overtime applicable after 40 hours per week. Regular shifts are Monday through Friday, with rotating call coverage required during weeknights and weekends. Our Cath Lab staff collaborate closely with technologists, diagnostic cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, and interventional radiologists. The role encompasses providing moderate sedation and critical nursing care for patients in the Cath Lab and related interventional radiology sites. Patient care includes managing procedures such as biopsies, drain placements, spinal cord stimulators, nerve ablations, and other service line procedures. In the Cath Lab, nurses will work with devices like Penumbra, Rotablator, Shockwave, Impella, and Maquet Balloon Pumps. The selected candidate will be part of a four-person rotating call team, providing 24-hour coverage alongside the interventional cardiologist for our community. Essential interdepartmental collaboration occurs with peers in the pre-operative area, radiology department, and inpatient care units. Our dynamic team is dedicated to continuous improvement in skills, processes, and knowledge to ensure the best possible patient care. A typical work schedule includes an average of 30 work hours per week, with approximately 14 days of call in a 6-week rotation, including two weekends. Holidays are rotated fairly, and PTO adjustments may be made to meet staffing needs. We expect our staff to perform at their highest ability while striving to maintain a healthy work/life balance.
