Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) functions as part of the interdisciplinary team caring for patients undergoing procedures or examinations in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) and/or Cardiology Department across all sites. Responsibilities include preparing patients prior to radiologic procedures, supporting care during procedures, and providing post-procedural care. The RN also assists in the management of patient care during moderate sedation and anesthesia cases. This role requires a dedicated professional committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to orient and work across all UCSF Medical Center locations.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) or Cardiology Department
- Ability to work across all UCSF Medical Center locations
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide safe and therapeutic patient care.
- Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams, carrying out established nursing procedures and performing related duties as required.
- Provides care for patients with complex needs under appropriate guidance.
- Assists in the management of care delivered by other members of the nursing team.
- Prepares patients prior to radiologic procedures.
- Supports care during procedures.
- Provides post-procedural care.
- Assists in the management of patient care during moderate sedation and anesthesia cases.
