About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) functions as part of the interdisciplinary team caring for patients undergoing procedures or examinations in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) and/or Cardiology Department across all sites. Responsibilities include preparing patients prior to radiologic procedures, supporting care during procedures, and providing post-procedural care. The RN also assists in the management of patient care during moderate sedation and anesthesia cases. This role requires a dedicated professional committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to orient and work across all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) or Cardiology Department
  • Ability to work across all UCSF Medical Center locations
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide safe and therapeutic patient care.
  • Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams, carrying out established nursing procedures and performing related duties as required.
  • Provides care for patients with complex needs under appropriate guidance.
  • Assists in the management of care delivered by other members of the nursing team.
  • Prepares patients prior to radiologic procedures.
  • Supports care during procedures.
  • Provides post-procedural care.
  • Assists in the management of patient care during moderate sedation and anesthesia cases.
