About The Position

This position provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations within the Cardiovascular Cath Lab. The role involves addressing the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. The Registered Nurse will communicate continuously with physicians about patient condition, assist with equipment maintenance and inventory, and ensure the readiness of procedure rooms and equipment. Responsibilities include obtaining necessary supplies for cases, monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures, and continuously monitoring and recording patient condition while in the lab. The role also includes participation in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

Requirements

Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.
Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.
One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.

Responsibilities

Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met.
Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
Monitors and records patients condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab.
Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
