About The Position

Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab. We’re northern Michigan’s largest healthcare system and we are deeply rooted in the communities we serve. We boast 6 labs that do Emergent and Elective cardiac procedures including Structural heart, Electrophysiology and Peripheral procedures. A 24 bed recovery area for prep and recovery of all inpatients and outpatients while also having the flexibility to do the following procedures: TEE, Cardioversion and loop recorder implants. We have a high quality, high volume, efficient and high functioning critical care team of nurses and registered cardiovascular specialists (RCIS/RCES) that care for all cardiac patients. STEMIs (ST elevation myocardial infarctions) we average over 180/year. Approximately 1200 PCIs (percutaneous coronary intervention)/year. Overall, 90% of cath procedures are radial. We are continuously looking at new techniques and technology to offer the highest and best quality of care for our patients.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan
Previous work experience in a Cardiac Cath lab or minimum of one year experience in critical care.
BCLS certification
ACLS certification
Vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
Receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.

Responsibilities

Perform Emergent and Elective cardiac procedures including Structural heart, Electrophysiology and Peripheral procedures.
Provide prep and recovery for all inpatients and outpatients.
Perform TEE, Cardioversion and loop recorder implants.
Care for all cardiac patients.
Utilize new techniques and technology to offer the highest and best quality of care for our patients.
