About The Position

The Birthing Center is a LDRP unit in a small community hospital with approximately 325 births per year. We focus on physiological birth and our staff are all trained in labor, delivery of the newborn, transition of the newborn, post-partum care, lactation support, and stabilization of the newborn who is awaiting transportation to a facility with a higher level of care. University of Vermont Health - Porter Medical Center is located in the heart of beautiful Middlebury, Vermont. We are comprised of a 25-bed acute care facility, a 98-bed skilled nursing facility which includes a memory care unit, short-term rehabilitation unit and a long-term care unit, and a network of primary care and specialty medical practices throughout Addison County and the town of Brandon.
