About The Position

This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in Behavioral Health at Swedish Hospital, working a night shift. The role involves utilizing the nursing process for patient care, maintaining competency, contributing to professional development, integrating ethical practices and evidence-based research, promoting safety, guiding and supervising staff, and enhancing professional growth. The nurse will maintain a safe therapeutic working environment, handle emergency situations, and ensure thorough and timely documentation. The position is located in Chicago, IL, and requires 36 hours per week, with rotating holidays and weekends. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Demonstrates mastery of nursing skills.
  • Communicates effectively and is able to guide and supervise nursing personnel.
  • Current Illinois Nursing licensure
  • American Heart Association CPR Certification

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of experience as a staff nurse.
  • Previous Psych experience strongly preferred
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP may be required within six months depending on the unit requirements
