About The Position
Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) on a PRN basis. This role is crucial in meeting a vital community need by providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a safe and supportive environment. The BHU team is dedicated to promoting wellness and recovery for patients. Requirements
- Current Nevada State RN license
- Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 14 days of hire.
- A minimum of (1) year RN experience
Responsibilities
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Proficient in assessing patient conditions and making timely determinations of patient needs.
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
