About The Position

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse for multiple travel/contract positions in Dartmouth, MA. This role involves providing and coordinating care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs for Adolescents through Geriatric patients, including work in Children units if required. The RN will develop and implement nursing care plans, maintain medical records, and educate patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions. The position requires adherence to the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined within the state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as facility and corporate policies and procedures. The RN will ensure physicians’ orders are legible if taken verbally and transcribed appropriately, and that patients’ status is assessed ongoingly with pertinent information gathered and documented. Notification of physicians of significant changes in status is crucial. The role also involves ensuring initial nursing treatment plans are completed upon admission and that all nursing treatment plans are specific to assessed needs. Experience with paper charting is necessary.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse: 2 years - Required
  • Recent/Current Psychiatric Nursing or Behavioral health: 1 year – Required
  • Experience with Adolescents through Geriartic patient population
  • Paper charting experience
  • ASN or an equivalent – Required
  • RN License for State of MA - Required
  • BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross - Required

Nice To Haves

  • BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
  • CPI or HWC Certification - Preferred

Responsibilities
