REGISTERED NURSE - BEHAVIORAL HEALTH (FT NIGHTS)
About The Position
Responsible for the coordination and supervision of the direct patient care and program implementation for residents/patients in the acute care and residential programs. Assesses the patients/residents needs and coordinates/implements the delivery of quality nursing care, as prescribed by the Treatment Team / Physician. Provides safety and crisis management for the patient populations, and assures a safe and therapeutic environment. Requirements
- Knowledge and experience of nursing care and interventions with psychiatric patients.
- Knowledgeable of psychotropic medications, potential side effects, and psychiatric diagnoses.
- Ability to direct others in the delivery of services.
- Ability to organize multiple tasks at one time.
- Ability to problem solve situations in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to safely implement special treatment procedures.
- Ability to delegate responsibility to others and assure completion of shift duties.
- Skill in developing therapeutic relationships with clients of all ages.
- Ability to work as a member of a treatment team.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- CPR certification.
- Licensed in the State of Colorado or hold a current compact license.
