About The Position

This role is for a capable clinician focused on expanding knowledge and skills in behavioral health. The nurse will provide effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team to a variety of complex patients. Responsibilities include managing care and implementing treatment plans at a refined skill level in collaboration with patients, their families, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team. The position encourages seeking and providing feedback for improved clinical practice and assumes a beginning leadership role with mentoring. The job description integrates the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements, and the UVA Nursing Professional Practice Model. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
1 year of relevant experience.
Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities
