About The Position

This role involves providing direct nursing care within an Antepartum department at Ascension Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for implementing and monitoring patient care plans, communicating patient conditions, coordinating care across disciplines, carrying out physician and nursing orders, and assessing discharge planning needs.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
3+ years of Perinatal clinical experience in high volume delivery service

Nice To Haves

Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
