Community Health Network MD Anderson Cancer Center is a partnership formed in 2022 between Community Health Network and MD Anderson Cancer Center, integrating Community's cancer services with MD Anderson's expertise. This partnership makes Community MD Anderson one of the few select partners with MD Anderson, a global leader in cancer care, and the only partner in Indiana. The Ambulatory Registered Nurse functions as a member of the Oncology team supporting Breast Care, Plastics, and Colon/Rectal Care. This role involves phone triage, patient education, prescription refills, scheduling, communicating results to patients, care coordination, rooming patients, and other related tasks as needed. The position is located in an office on the east side of Indianapolis, Indiana, and requires the nurse to work onsite.

Requirements

  • Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • One year or more of nursing experience required.

  • Experience in an ambulatory office setting preferred.
  • Experience with surgical care preferred.
  • Phone triage experience a plus.
