Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
  • Three or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • One year of experience in an ambulatory, outpatient, school or college health setting.
  • CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience with and a moderate comfort level using a personal computer.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, team‐building skills, and professional demeanor.
  • Experience administering allergy injections.
  • Experience administering routine immunizations.
  • Experience performing tuberculosis screening tests.

  • Experience using electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

  • Provides allergy injections, immunizations, tuberculosis screening, and travel counseling in accordance with established protocols.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and commitment to quality care by adhering to customer service standards, respecting patient rights and confidentiality, following policies and procedures, and actively supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provides tuberculosis education and monitors patients with latent TB infection.
  • Uses electronic medical record to communicate lab and x-ray results.
  • Provides input on policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a level of knowledge conducive to providing high quality patient care.
  • Maintains patient electronic health records.
  • Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance pattern.
  • Opportunity to participate in special projects, public speaking, and nursing committees.
  • Provides input on policies and procedures.
  • Other related functions as assigned.
