While this unit is a place many RNs call home, it is also a place to hone nursing skills for those seeking to care for higher acuity patients in the future.
Requirements
- Licensed RN in the State of Michigan
- Vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
- Receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
Responsibilities
- Care for a broad post-surgical patient population in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced RNs.
- Share knowledge of the post-surgical patient population.
- Hone nursing skills for potential future care of higher acuity patients.
