About The Position

Ascension St. Vincent is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Adult Mental Health department in Evansville, IN. This full-time position with a Weekend Option schedule involves providing direct patient care to behavioral health patients, conducting bio-psychosocial assessments, developing nursing care plans, participating in treatment team conferences, implementing care plans, and co-leading group therapy sessions. The role requires evaluating patient responses to interventions and collaborating with the treatment team to adjust care plans as needed.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the facility.
Perform initial and on-going bio-psychosocial assessments according to accepted standards of nursing practice.
Develop a nursing plan of care consistent with the master treatment plan.
Participate in treatment team conferences to assist in planning and revising goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the age-related and problem-specific needs of each patient.
Implement nursing plan of care for assigned patients and conduct and/or co-lead group therapy sessions for patients.
Evaluate patient's response to interventions and revise nursing plan of care as needed.
Collaborate with the treatment team to revise goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the changes in patient status.
