About The Position

Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) is seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join their Virginia REACH team. This role supports adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and mental health needs at a Crisis Therapeutic Home (CTH) in Staunton, VA. The position involves providing nursing care, administering medications, performing assessments, educating individuals on health, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, maintaining documentation, and guiding Behavior Techs and LPNs. The goal is to promote stability, recovery, and hope for individuals, preventing future crises by equipping them with tools and coping skills.

Requirements

Current valid, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia.
A valid driver's license and car insurance for occasional transportation to appointments.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of MH and I/DD systems of care.
Experience in crisis prevention and intervention services.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs in a Crisis Therapeutic Home.
Administer medications, perform nursing assessments, and ensure the highest standard of care.
Educate and empower individuals regarding their physical and mental health.
Collaborate with a dedicated interdisciplinary team to create personalized care and treatment plans.
Ensure safety and compliance by maintaining accurate documentation and following all clinical standards.
Promote stability, recovery, and hope for those served.
Provide guidance to Behavior Techs and LPNs as needed.
