Registered Nurse (RN) - Adult Care Elderly (ACE) - Night Shift
About The Position
ChristianaCare Hospital's 6A—Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) passionate about working with the Elderly. In this role, you will work closely to deliver care that supports older patients facing an acute illness. This unit's patient population consists of older adults, typically aged 70 and above. The focus is on maintaining function, providing education, and maintaining safety. As a member of the 6A team, you will engage in a true relationship-based care model, building relationships with patients, families, and peers, guided by the values of love and excellence. Nurses on this unit manage 5 medical patients per shift and work with an interdisciplinary team that includes a unit-based Nurse Practitioner, attending and consulted physicians, a pharmacy, a physical therapist, and other assistive personnel.
Requirements
- Delaware RN License or Compact Nursing License.
- One year of experience as an RN.
- Demonstrate a passion for working with older adults.
- BLS required.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Gerontology Certification preferred.
