About The Position
This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Adult Behavioral Health department at Ascension Via Christi St Joseph in Wichita, KS. The position is full-time, working night shifts from 7p-7a, with weekend options available. A sign-on bonus of up to $12,500 is offered. Associates are eligible for tuition discounts and priority placement in select healthcare programs through an academic partnership with Wichita State University.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to capture a patient’s needs and strengths.
- Conduct or co-lead group therapy sessions to provide patients with tools and community for healing.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to design and refine personalized care strategies and goals.
- Implement and adjust nursing care plans in real-time to ensure interventions are purposeful and responsive to patient challenges.
