Our Adolescent Inpatient Psych Unit is hiring for a full-time day shift position! The RN for this unit delivers care to children and adolescents with complex behavioral and emotional needs. The Registered Nurse in our Behavioral Health Department supports two primary areas: the Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric Unit and the Behavioral Health Access Center, (Psychiatric Holding Unit). RNs have the opportunity to work with an interdisciplinary team and are involved in the treatment planning and implementation of therapeutic interventions specific to each patient’s goals. As a Registered Nurse in Adolescent Psych compassion, leading nursing enrichment activities, establishing therapeutic boundaries, and being comfortable deescalating situations are all necessary components of patient care. Nursing skills gained in Adolescent Psych department: Verbal de-escalation. Nurses will be trained in both an emergency crisis unit as well as an inpatient psychiatric unit. The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care along the care continuum, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The clinical nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and enhance operational efficiency. The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.
