About The Position
Professional registered nurse gives direct and indirect specialized nursing care to patients while preparing for intra-operative experience. The nurse in the pre-op role coordinates the care of the patient and is the patient advocate throughout the pre-operative experience. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Florida R.N. licensure
- Basic Life Support

- One year med/surgical experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and growth and development needs of the patient.
- Develops a plan of care using assessment data. Plan of care is individualized to include specific patient problems and needs.
- Implements nursing education assessment on assigned patients.
- Evaluates the patient’s response to nursing interventions and teaching.
- Demonstrates leadership skills
