About The Position

This role focuses on providing patient services with a strong emphasis on compliance, clinical judgment, and interprofessional collaboration. The Registered Nurse will maintain a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, supporting leadership in compliance efforts. They will utilize clinical judgment in performing caring practices, collecting clinical data, following protocols, and documenting the plan of care. The position also involves clinical inquiry to improve practice, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams using shared decision-making, and demonstrating advocacy and cultural inclusivity in patient care. The nurse will integrate age-specific and culturally inclusive concepts into patient care, considering both chronological age and developmental functioning.

Requirements

  • Associate/Diploma prepared RNs from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution requires 2+ years of experience.
  • If hired without a BSN or MSN, must enroll in a BSN or MSN program within 1 year of hire date/RN job date and complete program within 5 years of hire/RN job date.
  • Active Ohio RN License.
  • May be required to obtain other state licensure.
  • Foreign graduates must have license validated through TruMeritTM per Ohio Board of Nursing code for Foreign Graduates.

  • BSN from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution or MSN.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Support leadership in compliance efforts to meet and sustain regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor and comply with safety and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all individual certifications and Safety College requirements are fulfilled in a timely basis.
  • Collect clinical data, follow algorithms, decision trees, and protocols.
  • Document plan of care, care delivered, and patient and family outcomes.
  • Integrate age-specific concepts into patient care, considering chronological age and developmental functioning.
  • Facilitate patient and family learning by providing structured education and using teach back to evaluate effectiveness.
  • Implement clinical changes and research-based practices.
  • Recognize the need for further learning to improve patient care.
  • Participate in shared governance at the point-of-care.
  • Demonstrate advocacy, moral agency, and response to inclusion.
  • Assess cultural inclusion and incorporate culturally inclusive concepts into patient care.
  • Integrate age-specific and culturally inclusive concepts into patient care.
