About The Position

This is a full-time, 12-hour day shift position for a Registered Nurse in the 4 S ICU. The position is non-exempt and unionized. The hourly rate range for this position is $44.00 – $95.00. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

Requirements

  • Eligibility to sit for the Registered Nurse licensing examination as defined by the California Board of Nursing.
  • At least 1 year of acute inpatient hospital experience in the United States.
  • Valid California Registered Nursing license.
  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider card from the American Heart Association.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support card from the American Heart Association.
  • L.A. Fire and Safety Certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not possessed at time of hire).

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care in an acute inpatient hospital setting.
  • Adhere to California Board of Nursing regulations.
  • Maintain current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider card.
  • Maintain current Advanced Cardiac Life Support card.
  • Obtain and maintain L.A. Fire and Safety Certification within 30 days of hire.
