This position is for a Registered Nurse 2 in the Cancer Center Infusion department. The role involves providing competent direct patient care based on established standards, contributing to unit activities, and supporting the enhancement of the care delivery system. The nurse will also support peers and may take on expanded roles such as charge nurse, preceptor, or committee member. Requirements

  • RN with minimum 2 years acute care experience.
  • Must be flexible, enthusiastic, have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, organization, and ability to multi-task are important for success in the role.

Nice To Haves

  • Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards.
  • Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level.
  • Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services.
  • Assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
  • Provide clinical care, coordination, and patient education in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.
