About The Position

GI nurse opportunity in a fast-paced, growing outpatient endoscopy center. The position involves caring for procedure patients throughout all phases of care including pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and recovery. Applicant must enjoy being a team player with nurses, support staff, and highly skilled physicians affiliated with an academic medical center. Requirements

3 years nursing experience
NYS license
Excellent IV and assessment skills
Moderate sedation competency
Ability to organize and prioritize care

Responsibilities

Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards.
Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level.
Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
Caring for procedure patients throughout all phases of care including pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and recovery.
