Requirements

  • Current Registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the provincial licensing body
  • Certification as a Nurse Specialized in Wound Ostomy & Continence (NSWOC) or Enterostomal Therapist or International Interprofessional Wound Care Course (IIWCC) or Canadian Nurse Associate Certification (WOCC)
  • Debridement Certification
  • Advanced wound care expertise
  • Two years previous experience in the development of wound care management programs in the hospital or community setting
  • Current CPR certification
  • Clear criminal background check (with vulnerable sector screening)
  • Negative TB test
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Auto insurance
  • Reliable vehicle
  • May be required to provide proof of vaccination against illnesses such as COVID-19, Hepatitis, Seasonal Flu etc., dependent upon Provincial government regulations and position
