About The Position

Mater Mothers Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for a Registered Midwife – Novice Program to join us in a permanent, part-time (32hr per week) opportunity. As a Level 4 maternity service, we are planning to care for approximately 1,700 women and families each year, providing care for women experiencing low to moderate risk pregnancies. Clear referral pathways are established with Mater Mothers’ Hospital South Brisbane for women requiring higher-level care. As part of the Novice Program, you will be supported to rotate through the Maternity Inpatient Unit, Pregnancy Assessment Centre and Birthing Suites to ensure you gain valuable skills and competencies necessary to work collaboratively as part of our close-knit midwifery team. Please note this opportunity is not part of a formal Graduate Program. Instead, it is a supported transition-to-practice pathway designed to assist you in your development as a Registered Midwife. Successful completion of this pathway will lead to an ongoing permanent position within our Maternity Inpatient Unit.
