Requirements

Valid RMA license recognized by state licensing authorities
Experience working with diverse populations including long-term care residents, seniors, or individuals with disabilities
Ability to perform tasks requiring physical strength such as assisting patients using Hoyer lifts or assisting with mobility aids
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team member
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with required privacy practices

Responsibilities

Administer resident medications per physician’s orders
Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort
Collaborate with nursing staff to identify patient needs, report changes in condition promptly, and assist with emergency responses in critical situations
Maintain a safe environment by following infection control protocols, practicing proper hand hygiene, and adhering to safety standards for infectious disease care and acute care settings
