Bayshore is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Caregiver to join their team, responsible for delivering exceptional care and support to clients, while ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being.

Requirements

  • Completion of formal, accredited caregiver training program and/or a combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Strong knowledge of the principles of caregiving as well as customer service
  • Able to communicate effectively in spoken and written English
  • Provide high-quality care services to clients with current knowledge of practices for community care
  • Physically assist clients with movement and/or repositioning; able to lift 23 kgs., squat, bend, stand and reach
  • Able to produce a clear Criminal background check with Vulnerable Sector Check

Nice To Haves

  • French proficiency will be deemed an asset
  • Reliable mode of transportation; driver's license and automobile considered as an asset

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive homemaking services, including but not limited to cleaning, cooking, laundry, and general household management
  • Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events
  • Administer personal care services in accordance with the care plan directives
  • Ensure the emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort and safety of clients to the highest possible standard
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, tailored to meet their specific needs
  • Perform specialized procedures for clients where training has been provided while demonstrating current competency
  • Observe and document client conditions in line with company standards; promptly report any unusual events or changes in client condition to the Supervisor or Office
  • Implement and adhere to infection prevention practices
