About The Position

As an Echocardiography professional at TriHealth, you will perform a full range of diagnostic studies, including TTE, TEE, Stress Echo, Doppler, and contrast procedures. You will work closely with cardiologists and lead technologists to ensure the highest clinical standards. Your skill in producing accurate, high-quality images and measurements plays a vital role in helping patients receive timely, precise diagnoses. Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program, in Allied Health
  • Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree
  • RDCS designation from ARDMS or RCS designation from CCI.
  • Highly developed understanding of cardiac anatomy and hemodynamics
  • Clinical experience in a related field
  • Clinical hours during training

Nice To Haves

  • Wearing lead aprons for all procedural Echo testing that is required within and/or near X-Ray Generating Equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Performing Transthoracic Echocardiograms, TEE, Stress Echo and Doppler, etc., as well as processing corresponding paperwork and charging.
  • Participating in the training, direction, and education of new technologists and students when applicable.
  • Participating in quality and process improvement activities.
  • Working with the cardiologists/Lead Techs to ensure that the quality standards are being met.
  • Reporting any equipment, PACS, or report data issues.
  • Ensuring patient safety.
  • Timely processing and verification of images and accompanying paperwork and/or computer work such as echo measurements, data entry into reports, critical findings, charging, etc.
  • Helping with other department duties as necessary: working with nurses, technicians, and clerical staff and being a team player.
  • Taking call if applicable.
  • Providing clear and accurate technical images.
  • Taking appropriate and accurate measurements.
  • Able to inject Echo contrast and Agitated Saline per appropriate protocol and image.
  • Conveying to the physician any necessary information.
  • Answering phone promptly and communicating with all customers appropriately.
  • Seeking resolutions to requests, whether adding additional testing or needing reports.
  • Explaining delays to patients.
