About The Position

The Registered Dietitian (RD) is responsible for providing comprehensive nutrition assessment, counseling, education, and care planning for participants and participants. The RD collaborates with the interdisciplinary team (IDT) to promote optimal nutritional health, manage disease-related nutrition concerns, and support individualized care goals. This position develops and implements nutrition interventions, monitors outcomes, and ensures compliance with applicable regulatory and professional standards. PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) is a federal and state funded program that provides comprehensive, coordinated, and proactive whole-person care to help maintain and improve seniors’ health so they can live safely in their homes.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in dietetics, nutrition or related field from an ACEND accredited institution OR Bachelor’s Degree if received prior to 2024.
  • ACEND-accredited supervised practice hours completed and passed the National Registration Examination for Dietitians required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience working with older adult population required.
  • Current registration with the Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR) required.
  • CPR Certification maintained throughout employment.
  • Strong Assessment, counseling, and patient education skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records an standard computer applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical dietetics experience preferred.
