About The Position

Registered Dietitians at NewYork-Presbyterian use medical nutrition therapy to treat patients while participating in and enhancing preventative and community based care. They are respected members of the dynamic multidisciplinary care team, engaging daily with medical team members in direct patient care provision. This role is specifically for the pediatric clinical nutrition team at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, providing nutritional care to a variety of inpatient pediatric & obstetric patients. The dietitian will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team using Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for general inpatient pediatric, high-acuity pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), and high-risk obstetric patients. Responsibilities also include precepting dietetic interns and providing education to staff. This is a part-time, day shift position.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Baccalaureate Degree granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college/university or foreign equivalent.
• Completion of an ACEND accredited/approved Supervised Practice Program in Dietetics.
• Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) within 6 months of hire.
• NYS Certification as a Dietitian/ Nutritionist (CDN) within 12 months year of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Inpatient pediatric clinical nutrition experience.
• Master’s Degree.
• Certified Specialist in Nutrition Support, Pediatric Nutrition, or Pediatric Critical Care (CNSC, CSP, CSP-CC).

Responsibilities
