About The Position

Under general supervision, is responsible for providing optimal nutritional care to patients, which compiles with the Joint Commission and title 22 regulations and the standards of care in the dietetic profession. Responsible for the medical nutrition therapy of patient/residents; nutritional assessment, nutrition care plans, patient visitation, inpatient/outpatient diet counseling, consults regarding advance nutrition support, as well as assist in other areas related to the Food and Nutrition Services Department.

Requirements

• Approved internship/traineeship.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics required.
• Registration with American Dietetic Association required.
• Proof of required RD License(s) and/or Certification(s) due at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performing medical nutrition therapy for patients/residents.
• Conducting nutritional assessments.
• Developing nutrition care plans.
• Conducting patient visitations.
• Providing inpatient/outpatient diet counseling.
• Consulting on advanced nutrition support.
• Assisting in other areas related to the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
