Registered Dietitian (40% remote)
About The Position
RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to join their network of exceptional clinicians. This role offers ongoing support from a dedicated team, allowing the dietitian to focus on delivering high-quality patient care. This exciting opportunity provides a flexible and rewarding work-life balance with a blend of in-person and remote work options. The schedule is 20 hours per week, with 40% of the work completed remotely via telehealth. The position offers flexibility to choose days and hours, requiring only 1-2 onsite visits per week, with remaining hours completed remotely via telehealth. The facility type is a Skilled Nursing Facility.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.
- Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Current state licensure/certification (if mandated by the state)
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Possesses the ability to apply critical thinking to a variety of situations, assess objectives, develop and implement and monitor effective plans for improvement.
- Proficiency in providing general nutrition interventions.
- Familiarity with state survey processes and adhering to nutrition care regulations
- Competency in electronic charting systems
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
- Provide nutrition education and counseling.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, including those related to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Department of Health (DOH).
- Maintain appropriate documentation.
- Monitor all residents for changes in weight weekly and/or monthly to identify potential changes in nutrition or hydration status.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance nutrition care services and resident outcomes.
- Perform other tasks as assigned and within scope of practice.
