About The Position

DiningRD is seeking a Registered Dietitian for skilled care communities and assisted living facilities. This position can be split or filled by one RD, requiring onsite visits Monday-Friday during regular business hours. Total hours per week may vary, with an estimated 32-36 hours monthly. The role focuses on improving the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards and working closely with clinical teams to monitor resident nutritional needs. Responsibilities include providing nutrition education, assisting with MDS, formulating nutrition assessments, guiding dining services on best practices and sanitation, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The dietitian will also train dining managers and staff, assist with policy development, and monitor nutritional care systems. Requirements

  • Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials
  • Licensed (if required by State)
  • CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian

Responsibilities

  • Complete onsite visits Monday-Friday during regular business hours
  • Monitor the nutritional needs of the residents
  • Provide nutrition education
  • Work on an MDS (Minimum Data Set) with the team
  • Formulate nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager
  • Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Train and provide guidance to dining managers and staff
  • Assist with policy development
  • Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems
