About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian to join The Williamsport Home, a beautiful 129-bed continuing care retirement community and skilled nursing facility spanning 86-acre campus located in Williamsport, PA. Williamsport Home was founded in 1872 as the Home for the Friendless and has evolved into a leading CCRC serving Lycoming County. Requirements
- Registered Dietitian credentials and NY state certification
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- strong leadership skills
- the ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
- excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors to make every day a better day for our residents
- Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
- Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
- 2 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
Responsibilities
- provide compassionate care to skilled nursing and/or rehab residents
- consistently meet DOH/state/federal and company standards
- serve as an active member of the interdisciplinary team, working closely with nursing & medical staff and attending care conferences as assigned
- support the food service operation as needed, including test trays, food service audits, and meal rounds
