About The Position

This role enables associates to work virtually full-time, with the exception of required in-person training sessions, providing maximum flexibility and autonomy. This approach promotes productivity, supports work-life integration, and ensures essential face-to-face onboarding and skill development. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. The Registered Dietitian is responsible for planning and conducting programs to educate patients about nutrition and administering medical nutrition therapy.

Requirements

  • Requires BA/BS and minimum of 3 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Registered dietitian required.

Nice To Haves

  • Nutritional coaching experience for members with conditions such as CAD, COPD, Asthma, Diabetes, HTN, and HF.
  • Ability to meet necessary internet speed requirements and adhere to work-at-home agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts a nutrition assessment and obtains nutrition history from patient.
  • Consults with physician and other health care personnel to determine patient's nutritional needs and diet restrictions.
  • Plans therapeutic diets and implements preparation and service of meals for patients in hospital, clinic, or other healthcare facility.
  • Instructs patients about the meal plan and dietary changes, and establishes goals and objectives to help meet the plan.
  • Evaluates nutritional care and provides follow-up continuity of care.
  • Documents nutrition care plans.
  • Inspects meals served for conformance to prescribed diets.
  • Instructs patients and their families in nutritional principles, dietary plans, food selection, and preparation.
  • Educates staff on nutrition and diet therapy.
  • Must successfully pass CNSC exam within 12 months of hire and maintain certification.
