About The Position

Boyer Children's Clinic is seeking a part-time Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist to provide medical, therapy, special education, and family services to infants and young children with developmental delays, and their families. The Registered Dietitian will provide evaluative, therapeutic, and consultative services for children aged birth to three with feeding difficulties. This role involves collaborating with care team members to coordinate nutrition care delivery, formulating and revising enteral nutrition patient care plans, and identifying patient needs, goals, and interventions. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively, maintain focus on the mission, and possess strong interpersonal skills.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and/or Dietetics, accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics
Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD or RDN)
Licensed Dietitian for the geographical area where he/she manages patients (LD or LDN)
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Valid Washington State Driver’s License, automobile insurance, and a reliable means of transportation
Ability to pass Washington State DSHS criminal history and background check and fingerprint check

Ability to express self effectively, both orally and in writing.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to earn trust and communicate, both in writing and verbally, at all levels and disciplines within and outside the organization.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents, staff, co-workers, and physicians.
Ability to instruct parents and other persons involved in the handling and management of the child.

Nice To Haves

One or more years of RD/RDN experience preferred, but not required
Bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
Knowledgeable about community resources/WIC for feeding essentials, varieties of bottles, infant/toddler feeding tools, etc.
Knowledgeable about growth and weight gain in infants in toddlers
Comfort level and/or experience working with a variety of food cultures

Responsibilities

Provide direct, indirect, or consultative services to children with feeding difficulties in client homes, at other community sites, and in the center, in compliance with regulatory and company practices.
Work with and support infants and toddlers with Nasogastric Tube (NG Tube), Nasojejunal Tube (NJ Tube), Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG), and provide weaning programs from the tube.
Formulate, revise, and maintain enteral nutrition patient care plans based on physician orders and assessment findings.
Coordinate program with child's caregiver(s), other therapy and educational programs, and with other involved agencies and professionals.
