This is a casual position requiring 12-20 hours per week. The Registered Dietitian will be responsible for all aspects of patient nutritional care, including formulating and overseeing nutritional care plans. This role ensures adherence to Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and involves collaboration with clinical personnel, medical staff, and nursing staff regarding patient nutritional status. Responsibilities include nutritional assessment, service delivery, discharge planning, and contributing to the Culinary & Nutritional Department's Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities. The position also involves providing nutritional counseling, conducting ongoing evaluations, and leading educational sessions on diets and eating habits. Additionally, the Registered Dietitian will supervise Culinary Department clinical personnel, including orientation, training, and performance evaluation, and must demonstrate knowledge and skills in geriatric and rehabilitation care.
