About The Position

Pomelo Care is seeking experienced registered dietitians to join their network as independent contractors. This role involves delivering synchronous patient visits virtually for individuals navigating midlife, perimenopause, and menopause transitions. The practice focuses on combining proactive, 24/7 clinical care with technology to improve patient outcomes. As part of the Pomelo network, dietitians will provide one-on-one virtual nutrition care via phone and video calls to support lifestyle changes and well-being, working with patients in multi-week programs to address symptoms and promote sustained behavior change. Responsibilities include maintaining timely and accurate documentation and adhering to clinical, privacy, quality, and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • National certification as a registered dietitian (RD) or registered dietitian/nutritionist (RDN)
  • License to practice in Michigan
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience providing evidence-based nutrition therapy for patients with conditions of metabolic syndrome
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience providing evidence-based nutrition therapy for patients with weight loss and body composition changes
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience providing evidence-based nutrition therapy for patients with osteopenia/osteoporosis
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience providing evidence-based nutrition therapy for patients with gut health concerns, including bloating, IBS, and elimination diets
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience providing evidence-based nutrition therapy for patients with plant-forward/plant-based diets and anti-inflammatory eating patterns
  • Comfortable using telehealth platforms, video conferencing tools, and electronic documentation systems
  • Strong clinical judgment with the ability to work independently during patient visits

Responsibilities

  • Conduct synchronous video visits with patients navigating midlife, perimenopause, and menopause transitions
  • Provide one-on-one virtual nutrition care via phone and video calls to facilitate lifestyle change and enhance patients’ wellbeing
  • Work closely with patients in a multi-week program format to support symptom improvement and sustained behavior change in patients experiencing perimenopause
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation
  • Follow applicable clinical, documentation, privacy, quality, and compliance standards for visits conducted through Pomelo
