Registered Dietitian
About The Position
The Registered Dietitian will train, mentor, and supervise four diet techs, serving as a hands-on leader in the Food & Nutrition Department. This role involves the day-to-day management of the clinical nutrition program, supporting Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects, and providing training and education to department staff and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals. The dietitian will also collaborate with the food service operations team on meal provision and menu management, ensuring compliance with DOH/State/Federal and company standards. Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills are essential, along with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. Experience with regulatory accreditation and establishing/maintaining standards of care is also required.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian (or RD eligible) with acute care experience.
- Demonstrate a great clinical knowledge base.
- Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
- For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
- Meet eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Become registered within 120 days of hire.
