About The Position
RD Nutrition Consultants is seeking a Clinical Registered Dietitian (RDN) to support a skilled nursing facility in a part-time capacity. This position offers a consistent schedule with flexibility in selecting your workdays, along with the opportunity to build a long-term relationship with the facility. The role involves completing nutrition assessments, developing care plans, collaborating with care teams, providing education, ensuring regulatory compliance, monitoring resident weights, conducting kitchen audits, and reviewing menus.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian (RDN) credential required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field
- Active state licensure (if applicable)
- Clinical experience preferred (skilled nursing or LTC a plus)
- Strong communication and critical-thinking skills
- Experience with EMR/charting systems

Responsibilities
- Complete nutrition assessments for new admissions and quarterly reviews
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams (physicians, nurses, therapy, etc.)
- Provide nutrition education and counseling as needed
- Ensure compliance with CMS, DOH, and state/federal regulations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Monitor resident weights and identify nutrition-related concerns
- Conduct kitchen sanitation audits and support food service quality
- Review and approve menus to ensure USDA compliance
