About The Position

White Oak is seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and motivated Registered Dietitian (RD) to support the nutritional health and well-being of our residents. This position plays a key role in developing individualized nutrition care plans, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting quality dietary services throughout the facility. If you are passionate about resident-centered care and enjoy working as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, we would love to hear from you. The Registered Dietitian is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and monitoring the nutritional care of residents while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and facility guidelines. This position also supports quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and dietary operations as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited college or university
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) or Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) credential in good standing, or exam-eligible
  • Current state licensure as required
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer and documentation skills required

Nice To Haves

  • Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred
  • Knowledge of long-term care regulations and nutritional standards

Responsibilities

  • Complete initial, quarterly, annual, and significant change nutritional assessments and documentation
  • Develop and monitor individualized nutrition care plans
  • Collaborate with nursing, therapy, administration, and the corporate dietary consultant to support optimal resident outcomes
  • Participate in care plan meetings, Medicare meetings, wound and weight meetings, infection control meetings, and other interdisciplinary committees
  • Provide nutrition-related education and in-services to dietary and facility staff
  • Assist with menu planning, food service quality assurance, and policy development
  • Conduct quality improvement audits and implement corrective action plans as needed
  • Maintain current knowledge of nutrition research, regulations, and food service best practices
