About The Position
Pacific Coast Post-Acute is seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the nutritional care of residents in our 149-bed facility, ensuring their dietary needs are met while supporting overall health, recovery, and quality of life.
Requirements
- Current Registered Dietitian (RD) license required
- Strong knowledge of skilled nursing dietary regulations and compliance standards
- Understanding of the aging process and the nutritional needs of long-term care residents
- Ability to build trust, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with staff and residents
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or a related field from an accredited institution
- Completion of an ADA-approved training program
- 1–3 years of experience in acute care or long-term care settings
- Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and/or US Foods systems
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor lab values, food intake, and nutritional status
- Provide guidance on therapeutic diets and food/drug interactions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident care
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local dietary regulations
- Support resident satisfaction and overall dining experience
